The NYT releases highly illustrative, educational content for kids each month. For the October issue, I wanted to provide young readers the chance to improve their storytelling ability into the area of scary stories: perfect for the spooky season.
To do so, I created 2 illustrations that explain the process of writing and telling a successful scary story. The infographic aspect of the series, provides readers with an opportunity to learn from ‘the greats’ of spooky storytelling, while also giving them a speed course in crafting their own stories. They are encouraged to try the process for themselves.
